This role will transform the management accounting and information reporting side of the organisation by introducing a meticulous, proactive, commercially astute finance individual.

The core responsibilities will be the management of the balance sheet andthe profit and loss account to enable the production of accurate and timely financial/management accounts.

Description

  • Ensure that the bank accounts are reconciled on a regular basis and all queries are resolved
  • Raise monthly journals including accruals and prepayments and payroll journals
  • Manage fixed asset register and raise depreciation journals
  • Undertake monthly general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Review monthly VAT returns
  • Oversee the credit control function ensuring that all debts are collected within terms and following the appropriate escalation procedure
  • Manage the bank invoice funding facility and review monthly reconciliation submission.
  • Prepare month end debtor reports for the sales teams and senior management team and other ad hoc management reports Profit and Loss Account management
  • Assist with the prepare monthly management accounts investigating and explaining variances
  • Communicating and interpreting financial data to the sales teams
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Manage the integrity of the information in the finance system including the sales and margin Other work flows
  • Assist with audit processes, both external and various stakeholder audits
  • Authorise supplier payments and assist in the management of monthly cash flow
  • Liaise with other teams and senior management as required
  • Carry out month end duties as assigned
  • Carry out any other ad hoc duties to support the Finance team as required
  • Evaluating and monitoring financial information systems and recommending improvements where needed
  • Carry out any other ad hoc duties to support the Finance team as required

Profile

  • Part qualified / Finalist ACCA / CIMA or equivalent
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamworking skills and able to work on own initiative
  • Analytical and logical problem solving skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience of accountancy software packages
  • Ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way
  • Love technology and the way it can improve accuracy/efficiency
