Location: Appleton Academy

Hours of Work: 7.5 hours per week

Purpose of the Role: To supervise pupils at lunchtimes, promoting respect and adherence to school behavior policies. Support children's development and contribute to service delivery as per guidelines and procedures.

Key responsibilities:

EFFORT DEMANDS:

• Work under supervision following instructions and priorities set by Senior Lunchtime Supervisor/Office Manager/Headteacher.
• Contribute to school's ethos, working cooperatively with colleagues.
• Participate in training programs to meet post demands.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise children during lunchtime, promoting hygiene and safety.
• Monitor dining and play areas, handle incidents, assist with food, and maintain order.
• Report incidents, support children, and ensure areas are tidy.
• Assist with parent inquiries, maintain confidentiality, and oversee school equipment.

ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Deal with various behaviors of children.
• Available during school hours and willing to be flexible.
• Contact with public, teaching staff, parents, and community groups.
• May involve manual lifting; adhere to health and safety policies.

Fluency Duty: The post holder must meet the Intermediate Threshold Level, showcasing fluency in English.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS OF SERVICE: No issues in personal background or criminal record affecting work with children/young people/vulnerable clients/finance (Enhanced DBS check required).
