Salary range:
£120 daily

Role Type:
Contractor - Self-employed with an opportunity to become a permanent full time staff member after 4 months depending on satisfactory performance and delivery
Working Model:
Hybrid -Monday to Friday (3 days in person, 2 days working from home)
About the role:
An amazing opportunity exists for a Bookkeeper to join our team and be responsible for recording and managing the Company's financial transactions and accounts.
You will be required to use bookkeeping software like XERO, spreadsheets and databases to keep track of invoices, payments, receipts and tax compliance.
You will also produce financial reports and statements to assist management in decision making, you will reconcile accounts, handle daily banking activities and identify data irregularities.
If you thrive on implementing new systems with startups/medium-sized businesses, have a knack for being a part of the success story of a resilient and growing team, are familiar with the XERO accounting software, can work independently, and are capable of subsequently managing a structured finance team, we would love to meet you.
Successful applicants will ideally have to:
- Reconcile accounts and keep financial records
- Processing daily/monthly payments and handling daily banking activities
- Chasing due invoice payments and making payments on or before the due date.
- Identifying data irregularities to management
- Generating invoices and receipts
- Provide support during audit and tax filings
- Preparing and lodging business activity statements (BAS)
- Process accounts payable and ensure timely payments of invoices
- Producing quarterly or monthly management reports, statements and other financial reports as needed
- Using bookkeeping software like XERO to prepare journal entries, generate invoices and receipts and any other relevant task as per the business needs
- Reconcile intercompany accounts, bank statements, credit cards and other relevant documents
- Liaise with government agencies/ suppliers/ external accountants/ legal teams from time to time on behalf of the business
- Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting entries: ensuring legal requirements compliance.
- Provide support to the payroll department on a monthly basis
- Maintain accurate and up to date financial data using XERO
Essential / MUST HAVE Experience and skills
- Proficiency in using accounting software like XERO is a must have
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounts assistant or similar position
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
- Cost Control and cost savings experience
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google and XERO is essential
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Exceptional process improvement and Team cohesion skills
- Accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Organization skills and attention to detail
Desirable Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, finance or related field
- Experience working with multiple entities under an intercompany chain model
