About Our Client:

The client is a public research university in London, United Kingdom, and a member institution of the federal University of London.

It was founded in 1894 as the Northampton Institute, and became a university when The University was created by royal charter in 1966.

The Electrical Maintenance Tradesperson shall be responsible to the Electrical Maintenance Manager for:

Carrying out electrical maintenance both reactive and planned on a range of equipment including AHU's, pumps, pressurisation units, lighting, emergency lighting, controls, and power distribution systems.
The post holder shall have good familiarity with BS 7671 requirements both theoretical and practical.
Responding in a 'handson' capacity to Critical Plant breakdowns and undertaking remedial action in the field.
Completing and recording PPM tasks.
Assisting in weekly auditing by means of percentage checks the quality of works carried out in the field.
Carrying out routine inspections of plant and systems during each shift.
Assisting in management and control of spares inventory, requisitioning replacement parts and consumables from stores.
Assisting in implementing emergency and contingency procedures as required from time to time.
Assisting in recording and retaining a detailed knowledge of the operational sequences of the Plant.
To provide support to the wider Property and Facilities Team and project works when called upon.

The Successful Applicant:

Has qualified electrically
Is someone that is looking to progress within the establishment
Experience as an electrician or equivalent working on the electrical services installations within buildings on a large estate.
