Co-ordinate and lead on all statutory returns and the statutory accounts process

  • Liaising with Auditors and dealing with follow up queries
  • Must have strong technical background


We're delighted to be partnering with a thriving Academy Trust during an exciting time in their development to appoint an experienced Finance Lead on a permanent basis.


Responsibilities:


  • Preparation of funding body and other statutory returns within the ESFA deadlines.
  • Completion of financial returns to the Office for National Statistics as required.
  • Prepare reports and provide analysis on finance issues as requested.
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting on the compliance of Expenditure in line with Trust Financial Regulations.
  • Coordinate the completion of the statutory Annual Report and Financial Statements.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors as required and assist the Head of Finance in the preparation of papers for the Finance and Audit Committees.
The role offers hybrid working with 2 days spent in the office and the remaining 3 days at home.
