£40,000 - £60,000 DoE

We are working with an award-winning, manufacturing business, who have recently moved to a larger premises. They are looking for a Global Trade Compliance Manager to join them in their head office in Gloucester.


This is a new opportunity, for a Global Trade Compliance Manager to become an integral part of an innovative business.


The Compliance Manager will redevelop, implement, deliver, and manage internal trade compliance processes/systems, ensuring the company's best interest is represented.


Responsibilities:


  • Work closely with purchasing, sales, and shipping. Assisting and advising on all elements of trade compliance
  • Manage the import and export compliance process systems
  • Ensure the company is fully compliant with internal and external audits
  • Ensure export and import rules and regulations are fully understood & adhered to
  • Advise the company on all matters related to trade compliance
  • Deliver internal training on export control rules & regulations as required
  • Maintain and review the company product portfolio for any goods requiring export licenses
  • Help when needed on contract terms and T&Cs from a trade compliance perspective

Experience and Qualifications

  • Knowledge of export control rules
  • Understand and manage applicable tariff codes, certificates of origin, customer documentation etc
  • Have a handson, driven approach to your role
  • Where possible, have experience within the higher value or capital goods industry
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective communicator and problem solver
  • Able to deliver coherent highquality reports and feedback
