Are you an experienced universal grinder? Has your latest project come to an end? Then we have just the role for you

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for our client, a bespoke manufacturing specialist based in the north area of Birmingham.

The role we are recruiting for is an experienced Universal Grinder. This will be an ongoing position which can start immediately after a successful interview.

Working within an experienced team the role will involve producing precision parts according to specifications and operating various machines such as Myford, Churchill, Jones & Shipman grinding machines.

Previous universal grinding experience is essential

Duties of the role:

Interpreting engineering blueprints and drawings to determine machining operations
Monitoring machines operations to ensure parts are completed to specifications
Using precision measuring instruments including; gauges,micrometers & calipers
Cylindrical & Centreless grinding
Setting machines
Experience operating Jones & Shipman, Myford & Churchill grinding machines
Strong knowledge of machining
Experience working with a wide range of materials including carbide and stainless steel
Comfortable working to fine tolerances
Good critical thinking skills
