We are looking for an
excellent Administrator to join a nationwide society, targeting members 50+ years old, with the aim to help develop friendships, socialise, and have fun.


With over 300,000 members and over 100 branches nationwide, become a part of the society's 200-year history and make a significant impact within the London region.


Through the services and benefits they provide, they help members with a range of queries and problems around social, care, and financial areas.

Location:Hybrid (2 days WFH), Hammersmith

Hours:9-5, Mon-Fri

Duration: Temporary, to go Permanent after 4 weeks

Salary:£15-20ph, DOE (£25-33k pro-rated)

Care and welfare responsibilities:


  • Offer companionship and a listening ear to reduce isolation and improve health and wellbeing
  • Provide information and support on services/ benefits
  • Undertake occasional shopping transport
  • Comply with confidentiality, data protection and other relevant policies

Administrative responsibilities include:


  • Supporting the team with daytoday tasks
  • Overseeing the management of the hall and liaising with the property managers
  • Managing memberships and renewals, subsequently keeping members updated on branch matters and events
  • Attend and take an active part in Committee of Management meetings and social committees as required
  • Any other reasonable duties as required, including attending training. There will be an initial 34 days training in Manchester, followed by occasional additional training e.g. weekend and day seminars.
  • A strong administrator able to plan and organise their time
  • Proficient in MS office and able to take minutes
  • Extremely caring and friendly with an empathetic, nonjudgemental attitude
  • Exceptionally organised with capabilities in filing and upholding a high level of attention to detail
  • DBS checked (enhanced) on the update service
