Our client enjoys going to the gym, Nando's and to the cinema. He has a physiotherapy programme that he follows at the gym.

It is essential that the PA is able to drive his wheelchair adapted vehicle.

Our client enjoys banter and we would like to hear from applicants who are dynamic and enjoy working with young people.

  • Working as part of a team and communicating appropriately with fellow team members.
  • Participation in procedures and approaches as specified for the client.
  • Ensuring that opportunity is given to participate in activities as identified by client, family, health, medical and therapy team, while achieving a balance between work and rest for the client.
  • Implementing therapy programmes as directed by therapists involved.
  • Awareness of any significant changes in the client's health, functioning or behaviour, and informing the case manager and team leader as appropriate.
  • Awareness of the client's vulnerability and taking all reasonable precautions to protect it.
  • To provide the opportunity for the client to follow therapeutic guidelines that are in place.
  • To take the client out to activities, helping to build his confidence as he matures towards adulthood.

  • It is desirable for the applicant to have experience in working with children and young people.
  • NVQ level 2 in health and social care is desirable.
