Year 2 Teacher - Maternity Cover

Salary:
Teacher Main Pay Scale, M- M6


We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Year 2 teacher to join our team on a full-time basis as maternity cover starting from Easter 2023.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver lessons to Year 2 pupils in line with the National Curriculum and school policies.
  • Ensure that all pupils receive highquality teaching and learning experiences.
  • Provide regular feedback to pupils and parents on their progress and attainment.
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate records of pupil progress and attainment.
  • Plan and deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, which meets the needs of all pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and share good practice.

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Year 2 pupils.
  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of SEND and experience of working with pupils with additional needs.
  • Experience of using assessment data to inform planning and teaching.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
