We are recruiting for a
TherapyRadiographer to join the Global oncology specialist team at our client's centre in
Windsor.


As the Therapy Radiographer, you are responsible for supporting all aspects of the pathway of every patient receiving external beam radiotherapy in the centre.

You will also support the lead therapy radiographer/centre manager with the leadership of theirteam.


Job Purpose

  • Working in different areas of the treatment centre so that all operational objectives and standards are achieved, and the reputation for exceptional service and outcomes is always maintained.
  • Working closely with the clinical team of Lead Radiographer, Lead Physicist, Senior Dosimetrist, other Radiographers, Nurses and administration staff in all aspects of the radiotherapy process.

Hours

  • Monday
  • Friday, 95pm with the occasional late clinic.

Main Duties & Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Liaise closely with Radiotherapy Radiography team/Lead Physicist and Senior Dosimetrist on site/ Diagnostic Radiographer/ Senior Nurse
  • Chemotherapy/Senior Nurse Outpatients/ Administration team.
  • Follow clinical protocols, policies and procedures at all times.
  • Be a trainer and mentor for new or more junior staff.
  • Ensure that all patients experience the highest levels of service in line with the agreed expectations for treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of patient treatments.
  • Participate and assist in clinical audits.
  • Thoroughly record compliments alongside incidents and complaints and assist in proper investigation, ensuring that necessary safeguards are taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Support the close working relationship with external partners/ service providers and the requirement to comply with their policies.
  • Support the ongoing improvement and continuous development of the care and services provided.
  • Adhere and follow all HCPC standards.

Knowledge & Skills required

  • DCR (T) or BSc (Hons) in Radiotherapy (or equivalent).
  • HCPC registration.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience within the NHS, desirable.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Some knowledge of report writing.
