Our partner have a solid accountancy function as the Finance Assistant you will be working within a large stable accountancy team based in Chester, overseeing the Accounts Payable function, including inter-company transactions.


The key responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:

  • Full responsibility for the AP ledger, processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements and general ledger housekeeping-Processing intercompany payments and transactionsCollating and checking employee expenses for sign off by a Director & process to bespoke software.
Monthly supplier statement Recs, managing Supplier payment schedule in time for monthly payment runs.
Assisting with the preparation of the weekly payment runEnsuring PODs are matched and correct and being vigilant with lead invoicesDaily bank reconciliationProviding general support to the department as and when required


The Successful Applicant:


  • Experience working within a similar role or office experience considered
  • Good communication skills
  • Great organisation and task management
  • Be within a commutable distance of Chester
  • Ability to work at pace within a high volume environment
  • Previous experience within a multisite business or intercompany processing
