Description

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an already established working knowledge of a busy transport department eager to take their career to the next stage.


The role;

  • General system administration, ensuring jobs are closed off in full within time frames
  • Order entry within TMS system
  • Ensuring all POD's are returned & available within the system
  • Liaising with partner depots to ensure our daily deliveries are on track & customer informed of any potential issues
  • Assisting the planners with the routing of pallet network, groupage & general haulage vehicles including collection management
  • Covering the planners roles during times of holiday or absence
  • Providing quotes, answering queries and advising customers on the service to suit them. Ensuring we provide a customer journey which is second to none
  • Proven track record of working within a transport operation, including a good geographical knowledge of the United Kingdom desirable
  • Assist with capturing if KPI's in line with business requirements
  • Manual filling of office paperwork
  • Maintain the accurate information flow on TMS.
  • To assist the planning team with Booking in of orders and support at peak times.
  • Supporting operations, planners, and customer services to help with the smooth running of the site

Telephone Handling: 1 year (preferred)
