Tradewind are currently seeking an experienced and passionate SEN teacher to join Special Educational Needs school in Doncaster. The role can be full-time or part time and is to start with immediate effect.

As an SEN teacher, you will be responsible fordelivering high-quality education to students with Special Educational Needs across KS3 and KS4.

The students have complex emotional and behavioural needs performing below that of their age range.

As the SEN teacher you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering lessons and learning activities that are tailored to the specific needs of each individual student.
  • Creating and maintaining Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for each student and provide regular progress updates to parents and guardians.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed to ensure maximum learning and engagement.
  • Working collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
  • Attending and contributing to regular meetings with parents, guardians, and external professionals involved in the care of each student.

Requirements of the role:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and experience teaching students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • DBS on the update service.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and keeping up to date with best practice in SEN education.
