Introduction


Badaguish Outdoor Centre sits in a remote setting seven miles from Aviemore in Glenmore Forest Park on the road to the Cairngorm ski slopes.

The centre is owned by the Speyside Trust which is a small independent charity the aims of which are to promote access to the outdoors to people of all abilities.

To facilitate this Badaguish has eight self-catering lodges sleeping up to seventeen people in each and twenty-two eco pods each sleeping up to four people.

In addition, there are campsite facilities which can cater for groups of up to one hundred people.

As well as accommodation the site has an activities hall, a sports arena and an events centre which caters for conferences and other such events.

The successful applicant will work as part of a small team dedicated to the achievement of the Speyside Trust charitable objectives.

Key Duties:


  • Ensure the smooth running of the site and deal with guests on a daily basis to ensure efficient check ins/check outs and a pleasurable guest experience when they on site.
  • Help manage social media accounts and assist with other forms of marketing.
  • Liaise with onsite collaborators to ensure a smooth relationship.
  • General administrative tasks

Key skills we're looking for:


  • Organisation and an ability to prioritise and multitask.
  • Computer Literacy skills and familiarity with Office 365 and SuperControl booking system is desirable.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The ability to be flexible in your daytoday tasks.
  • The capacity to be proactive and use initiative.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Any additional training will be given where necessary

Key Conditions of Service:


  • Work pattern will be 5 days out of 7 with at least one weekend day
  • Overtime is not payable.
  • Time in lieu is taken for hours worked in excess of contractual hours by arrangement with the
    CEO.
  • Holidays should be taken out with peak season and not to conflict with major events on site. Any changes will be at the discretion of the
    CEO.
  • Background checks will be made, and references will be required.
