Bearfields of London Ltd is a family business that has been established for well over 100 years and is based in Leytonstone, with good proximity and easy access to over ground and underground links.

We are processors of fine food products, mainly pork products producing traditional hams and gammons which are sold by well known UK retailers.

We pride ourselves on quality and food safety, and to ensure that these are fully upheld we are looking to recruit an experienced person from within the food sector to join our developing Technical Team.

You will be ideally qualified in a food science or similar, and have some experience in a manufacturing environment.

You will be able to use Microsoft Office packages, in particular, Outlook, Excel, & Word, and be able to understand information in both written and spoken English.

Some of the experience we are seeking will include the following:

+3 years food industry experience in similar roles
Food science qualification or similar
HACCP level 3 as a minimum
Member of HACCP team experience
Food Safety culture improvement experience
Experience in sustained KPI environment
BRCGS experience and knowledge
Other thirdparty audit experience ideal but not mandatory
Health and safety knowledge
Strong communication skills
Problemsolving and organized person with critical thinking skills.

We work a rotating early and late shift, but we do not work weekends.

Additional training will be made available to you and there will be opportunities for you to get involved in all aspects of the quality process, including NPD, Auditing and Hygiene Microbiological checks.
