We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the East Surrey Community Team for People with Learning Disabilities as a team administrator.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to organise and carry out your work within clear timeframes. You will be integral to processing referrals, booking appointments, and dealing with enquiries to the team.


Applicants will need to have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team but be able to work independently.

They should have a high level of IT skills, including Microsoft office, previous experience of electronic patient record systems is desirable but not essential.


The East Surrey CTPLD have two bases, Gatton Place - Redhill and Ramsay House - Epsom, work across both bases is expected.

Job Overview


To provide office administrative duties for a multi-disciplinary Community Learning Disability Team including face-to-face contact with the public; people who use our services and their families and carers; medical staff; and other agencies.

Reception duties are undertaken when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of client data in accordance with Trust policy.
  • To be able to use the electronic patient record system, this will include checking client data to ensure it is synchronised correctly, checking and booking client appointments as well as uploading clinical information as required.
  • To receive and process all referrals to the team in line with the CTPLD East systems
  • Answer telephone enquiries/messages and transmit to team members according to priorities, maintaining a helpful and courteous manner at all times
  • To effectively respond, in a timely manner, to queries from people who use services, carers and all external agenices.
  • Liaise and maintain pleasant and collaborative working relationships.
  • To tactfully exchange verbal and written information with clients and staff.
  • To provide reception support as and when required.
  • Coordinate and book rooms for meetings and clients' appointments
  • To implement Trust and team policies/procedures and propose changes to practices if necessary.
