Calling all Event Professionals Do you have a creative talent, with a passion for exciting and interesting events, exceptional attention to detail and the skills required to be an engaging host to our members?


This Senior Events Co-ordinator is a unique role offering end-to-end events coordination and management, a varied working experience and provides the opportunity to work collaboratively with the team on exciting future events.

The role involves everything from initial event planning, venue searching and budgeting, to working closely with the marketing team to initiate ticket sales and marketing - through to the on-the-day event management and ensuring the day runs smoothly.


Some of our current events include Online Webinars, our Annual General Meeting (AGM), the Annual Conference, Awards Celebrations, Membership BBQs and Lunches, Networking events and our Christmas Social event - plus many more educational and social events throughout the year.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an imaginative, creative, and ambitious individual to contribute directly to the membership experience and the growth and development of the Security Institute.


Essential to the role -

  • Achieve DBS Screening
  • To monitor the use of all data in accordance with the Data Protection Act and GDPR.
  • Highly proficient in both verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confident and capable to organise and coordinate annual and quarterly events in a range of venues across the UK, acting as a confident event host and manager on the day where required.
  • Attention to detail when creating events marketing content and proofreading Security Institute communications, ensuring accuracy for all outgoing event communications.
  • Achieve deadlines in a timely manner to allow for checks to be completed.
  • To be a confident and competent communicator with directors, staff, members, and stakeholders in a range of settings including dealing with adversity and difficult situations.
  • Administration responsibilities for setting up the events ticket booking page, coordinating ticket sales, and adding information to our inhouse Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Technically competent in the use of Microsoft Office [Microsoft Word and Excel] to support and maintain the administration requirements of events.
  • Organised, motivated and creative.

Desirable Experience:


  • Create detailed venue/event packs.
  • Prepare for leadership and team meetings.
  • Work to deadlines and at pace within a busy team environment.
  • Work within the allocated events budget and cost centres.
