Job Description Summary:

An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team responsible for all Dowty Propellers customer support activities providing a new challenge every day.


The Lead Programme Management Specialist demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives for the assigned military and civil services programs.

You will also have responsibility for managing stakeholders, resolving complex issues and leading cross functional teams to achieve the business operational plan in a timely manner.

This role is being offered initially on a 16 month fixed term contract.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Develop relationships with external customers, manage their expectations and provide voice of customer feedback to internal stakeholders.
  • Responsibility for assigned programs and engaging the organisation to deliver on commitments.
  • Demonstrate sound commercial acumen to manage contractual obligations and secure opportunities.
  • Support internal and external program reviews, ensuring robust program, commercial, financial governance and monitoring of performance against defined service levels.
  • Demand Management for assigned programs and support to the overall S&OP process
  • Develop and deliver cost reduction ideas to support the overall business cost out objectives using LEAN methodologies
  • Identify and implement strategies for improved cash flow and monitor cash collection
  • Demonstrate leadership through Product change reviews and the Toll Gate lifecycle.
  • Monitor high demand accessory parts
- e.g., brush blocks, pitch control units with engineering to assess reliability trends across the fleet and implement specific customer training to aid improvements

  • Coordinate support for all depot and FSR activities to ensure program success and overall customer satisfaction
  • Includes direct people management responsibility including staffing and performance development

Qualifications/ Requirements:


  • This role requires proven experience in Programme Management
  • Utilises indepth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy
  • Customer facing experience is required
