The role of Team Leader within this ecommerce business plays a key part in leading and motivating warehouse operatives, ensuring day to day SLA's are met while delivering great service and operational excellence.
Managing a team of up to 20 operatives you will be required to demonstrate the ability to manage a successful shift in a multi- customer 3PL. Requirements will include previous 3PL, B2B and B2C management, in a fast paced environment. General duties will include carrying out daily briefs with the team, planning the training of warehouse operatives and monitoring performance, managing daily picking and packing rates, lead and motivate the team, and locking and securing the site.
A positive attitude towards culture and morale are essential and the initiative to adapt and change
Please note, due to the hours of operation, this is a permanent evening shift.
Role Objectives
Ø Performance and Progress
- Plan the training of warehouse operatives, monitoring performance and progress through regular reviews, and feedback
- Carry out daily briefs within the team, ensuring objectives are reached throughout the shift
- Efficient use of space/ Plan the layout of clients goods effectively, maximizing space
- Lead and motivate the team
- Independently lead and organize a shift (e.g. weekend shift)
- Managing daily pick/pack rates within company expectations
- Ensure H&S and hygiene is prevalent at all times
Ø Accountability
- Daily updates to shift managers of team progression, managing day to day workload efficiently.
- Completing detailed shift reports
- Employee searches
- Locking & securing the site
