Description

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced administrative assistant to join the Information Governance (IG) Team at Derby and Derbyshire ICB.


The post holder will deliver an effective and competent level of Information Governance administration support and consistently deliver a supportive Information Governance service which promotes good and effective working relationships to colleagues across the ICB and Primary Care.


Acting as first point of contact for the team, dealing with routine and specialist enquiries in a pleasant and helpful manner, communicating relevant information and referring to others as appropriate.

Answering telephone calls, taking messages, and passing on accurately to the relevant team member.


To support the IG Team's wider functions, including meeting preparation, logging of incidents and IG support queries, and facilitating training bookings.

Checking that content on the website, intranet and notice boards and leaflets are up to date and well presented.

Able to work on own initiative and unsupervised, within defined policies and procedures to set timescales.

Having a flexible/adaptable approach to their work in order to meet various deadlines.

Knowledge, Training and Experience

Essential

Demonstrable experience of working in an administrative environment and working with computerised data systems.

Desirable

Experience of working in a health care environment.

Awareness of a range of Health Services provisions.

Knowledge of NHS issues.

Understanding of Data Protection legislation.

Education and Qualification

Essential

Education to GCSE level/GCE 'O' Level.

GCSE in English and Maths (Grade C / 4 or above).

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office i.e., Word, Publisher, Excel, and PowerPoint.
