About our opportunity:

All the carbon we save, all the materials we recycle and all the waste we divert starts on our yards and with our Yard Operatives.

Join EMR and help us to identify valuable materials so that we can use the resources we have today to make the products we need tomorrow.

What you will be doing:

Once our amazing customers have handed over their unwanted materials, you'll be the hero in a hard hat that uses their expert knowledge of metals and plastics to sort, grade and consolidate the individual materials.

Our machinery does all the really tough stuff for us, but it can't strip the cable, ready for granulation, all by itself.

We need you to operate it, safely and efficiently.

And our Depot Manager will think of you as their right-hand person, knowing they can call on you for support.

About you:
We don't believe in shutting doors on potential, so we don't ask for qualifications or experience. We can teach you everything you need to know.

What we can't teach is:

Enthusiasm
Teamwork
Smiling through all weather conditions
Getting stuck in and hands on

If you have these qualities, you're already well on your way to being an incredible Yard Operative. We'll happily fill in the gaps by developing your knowledge, skills, and expertise on the job.

And we won't stop training you once you've reached peak Operative status, because when you work for a global leader in sustainable materials, there is no limit to your career progression.
