Are you a strong and pioneering leader with a passion for enhancing the lives and ensuring the safety of your customers? We have a fantastic opportunity for an Older Persons Services' Manager to join our evolving Independence and Wellbeing team.


This role will be accountable for the performance and delivery of services to customers living in our Independent Living and Extra-care schemes and therefore we are looking for someone who has up-to-date knowledge of older person's services, safeguarding,housing and relevant legislation and regulatory/compliance requirements.

You will naturally strive to explore and truly understand the needs/aspirations of these customers in order to develop a service offer that is fit for the future.


You will need to be comfortable with risk management, and will seek to continually identify any developments that may impact on the delivery of housing and support for older people.


We are looking for someone who is a natural leader who strives for excellence through clear prioritisation, effective delegation and continuous delivery in order to achieve organisational goals.


You will be expected to act with integrity, respect and flexibility and you should be afraid to make difficult decisions.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has up to date and relevant knowledge of Older people's services, safeguarding, Housing and relevant legislation and regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Is able to positively communicate in a variety of formats to a diverse audience and motivate colleagues, tenants, members and stakeholders
  • Has an understanding of how technology can support the delivery of customer services
  • Has a deep understanding of the people and culture levers for successful change, knowing how to assess and identify potential barriers and build engagement and people change plans that respond to business and employee needs.
  • Is an experienced and effective contract manager with commercial focus and strong negotiation skills.
  • Has proven leadership skills providing a motivating performance culture
  • Holds a professional qualification in Housing or other
  • Holds 5 GCSEs A-C
  • Has a driving licence and access to their own vehicle
