Community Fundraiser

We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Fundraiser to join the team in Wales securing income.

The charity improves the health and wellbeing of children and adults through the healing power of live music.

Every year, professional musicians share live music with over 100,000 people from across the UK, who may not otherwise get to experience it.

This includes those living with dementia, mental health problems, or who are seriously ill.

Community Fundraiser (Wales)


Location:
Home based (throughout Wales)


Hours:
Part time (22.5 hours per week)


Salary:
£26,500 - £30,000 pro rata per annum


Contract:
Permanent


Benefits:

The Role

The post holder will support the delivery of the charity's work by securing income through:
*Providing excellent donor stewardship which inspires individuals, groups local trusts and corporates to maximise their giving.
*Organising, marketing and delivering local events.


Main duties and responsibilities include:
*Ensure all fundraising activities collect and manage donor data
*Deliver work projects against agreed targets, key performance indicators, schedules and costs.
*Raise the profile and awareness of the charity through marketing and communication channels
*Identifying, researching and implementing new ways to approach potential supporters.
*Work with the fundraising team to implement and facilitate stewardship of supporters.
*Make links with schools, organisations and community groups in order to develop support.
*Identify, propose and develop local corporate partnerships.
*Give talks to community/supporter groups where it is deemed of benefit to do so.
*Recruit and manage volunteers.
*Organise and develop new and existing fundraising events for the charity.
*Produce evaluation reports as agreed with the Community Fundraising Manager.
*Fundraising administration duties
*Contribute to the development of the fundraising strategy focusing on areas of priority.

About You


As Community Fundraiser, you will have experience of delivering successful community fundraising activities (or equivalent experience outside of the charity sector) and developing relationships across a wide range of external customers including individuals, groups and companies.


You will have:
*Experience of managing projects ensuring completion within budget and deadline.
*Knowledge of general fundraising methodologies and approaches.
*Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to represent the organisation effectively to a range of stakeholders.
*Strong written and verbal communication skills.
*Excellent planning and organisational skills, including the ability to deliver multiple priorities.
*An understanding of budgeting income and expenditure.
*IT literacy including MS Office.
