- Band 3 to 4 depending on experience
- 37 hours per week Monday to Friday 7:45am to 3:45pm

- An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Vehicle and Plant Technician to join the Fleet Services team within the Neighbourhoods & Green Spaces directorate.
- The role
- We are seeking a wellmotivated individual to join our busy Vehicle Workshop Team within Neighbourhood Services based at Hedge End Depot. If you are proactive, flexible and are willing to work to the highest standards in your specialist field, this is the opportunity for you.
- About you
- The post holder will provide regular service and safety inspections for the Council's HGV, light commercial vehicles and small vehicle fleet. Fault finding and diagnostics, repairs and providing a prompt response to breakdowns when required are key requirements of this post.
- This role is a development post that would suit a recently qualified person. We will offer a comprehensive post qualification training package which will include LGV licence, a qualification in electric vehicle maintenance, MOT testers accreditation, forklift training.
- Applications are welcomed from individuals who are either Level 2 or 3 qualified in Vehicle maintenance and repair. Experience of working in a vehicle workshop is desirable. Strong customer service experience is essential.
- This is a busy operational working environment so you will need to be resilient, adaptable and not perturbed by sometimes working in unpleasant conditions with obnoxious odours.
