    Vets Now, the UK's leading provider of emergency pet care, is committed to developing veterinary surgeons through its comprehensive training programmes.

    The Cutting Edge programme is a 10-week training initiative designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to thrive in emergency and critical care roles across our 60+ locations nationwide.

    Training Highlights:

    • 300 hours of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) delivered by renowned experts
    • Lectures, interactive seminars, and practical training sessions
    • Four weeks of clinic-based training with a senior clinician
    • Practical sessions, seminars, and lectures at our central support hub in Scotland

    • Recognising and managing Shock
    • Fluid Therapy
    • Respiratory emergencies
    • Cardiac emergencies
    • Neurological emergencies
    • Surgical emergency wet lab
    • Blood gas analysis
    • Point of care ultrasound (POCUS)
    • Transfusion therapy
    • Trauma
    • Clinical reasoning and decision making in ECC
    • Teamworking and pet-owner communication
    • Adjusting to nightwork

    Work-Life Balance:

    You will work full-time in our Swansea clinic after completing the Cutting Edge programme, with a fair share of weekends and weeknights. The rota includes no more than three nights in a row, ensuring downtime for personal activities.

    Competitive Remuneration:

    • A training salary of £42,250 for the first ten weeks
    • A substantial increase up to £60,000 in week 11
