The Document Controller reports to the Document Control Hub Manager and ultimately to the Group Leader.This
Document Controller position is available on an initial
6-month contract. The role will be working at our client's office.
(Manchester or Leeds)
Key Accountabilities:
- Follow project guidelines with ease to log in, record and upload deliverables
- Registers; Logs and Tracks TQs & RFIs using project processes
- Maintain project specific guidance notes and records
- Keep up to date with policy, procedure and seek advice with problems.
- Record and submit time spent on projects
- As a Document Controller you will plan own workload
- Access guidance on standards for collaboration
- Identify issues and deal with them independently or escalate where appropriate
- Attend and contribute to local Document Control team meetings
- May attend project meetings
- Tracking; reporting and chasing time sensitive deliverables
- Support and provide cover for others in your discipline and location
- Professionally communicate with relevant individuals as requested by the business
- Identify processes within the role which could be improved
- Obtain compliant drawing / document numbers
- Verifying and quality checking documentation prior to issue.
- Uploading and downloading incoming and outgoing correspondence from multiple Extranet Sites.

- Good knowledge of Microsoft packages
- Interested in new digital tools and methods
- Experience of highvolume accurate data entry
- Good knowledge of multiple extranet sites
- Understand the basic principles behind workload planning and its relevance
- Be open to new ways of working
- Good knowledge of document control systems
