Following the acquisition of Brookson by People2.0 the responsibilities of the Finance function have grown to include the wider group's UK and Ireland entities.

This has created an opportunity for a new Trainee Accountant to join the team. Working in a team of 9, you will report directly to the Financial Controller.

Our Warrington office (WA1) is easily accessible by car and a 10-minute walk from the nearest train station.

We offer hybrid working, with a minimum requirement of 2 days in the office and the flexibility to work from home the rest of the week.

During the initial 2-week training period, you'll be in the office full-time for team integration and peer training.


What will you be doing as a Trainee Accountant?

  • Preparation and production of monthly management accounts and articulating key variances to stakeholders within the business
  • Variance analysis and commentary on monthly management accounts
  • Ensure intercompany balances for your entities within the Group agree
  • Debtor reconciliation and management
  • Preparation of all statutory returns for your entities (VAT, PAYE, etc)
  • Identifying and implementing efficiencies in processes
  • Assisting with adhoc tasks as they arise

What are the qualities that can help you thrive as a Trainee Accountant?

  • Essential Experience and Qualifications:_
  • Commenced training towards ACCA (or equivalent relevant) qualification, ideally with several exams passed todate
  • Previous experience of working in a finance team
  • Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUP's and Pivot Tables
  • Desirable Experience and Qualifications:_
  • Experience in using Sage50
  • Experience in using Microsoft Navision
