Sheet Metal Worker required to join a large, well established manufacturing company based in
Leamington Spa on a
Permanent basis, paying circa
£33,000 per annum PLUS Bonus & Benefits.

Our client is a key player in the manufacturing world, with an undisputed reputation for iconic designs, undeniable quality and award-winning innovation within cooking appliances, interior furnishing and accessories.

Due to the growth of our client, they are currently looking to recruit an experienced
Sheet Metal Worker to join their team supporting in all aspects of sheet metal work including cutting, bending and forming using modern equipment and hand tools to delivery high quality and unrivalled finished products.

Working with project teams and design & development engineers the successful Sheet Metal Worker will be responsible for producing representative prototypes, small batches of components and appliances from engineer sketches, drawings and CAD designs.

In return for your proven skill and experience within a
Sheet Metal Worker position, you will benefit from a salary in the region of
£33,000 per annum alongside key benefits to include; enhanced Holiday Entitlement of 33 days (inclusive of Bank Holidays), 5% Annual Bonus in line with company targets, Company Contributed Pension Scheme and a wide range of flexible benefits

Duties and Responsibilities of the Sheet Metal Worker:

Generation of prototypes or small batches of components and appliances from sketches, drawings and CAD designs prepared by the Engineering team.
Manipulation of Sheet Metal (stainless / mild steel / enamelling iron / etc)
Produce products from flat pattern including cutting, forming and bending of sheet metal both by hand and using modern equipment and hand tools to deliver finished product.
Welding (predominantly spot welding & seam welding)
Working with a range of modern equipment and tools including Band saws, Grinding wheels, Guillotines and Manual folders.
Provide occasional support to the wider manufacturing team.

The Ideal Sheet Metal Worker:

Proven experience within a Sheet Metal or Metal Forming position
City & Guilds or equivalent in Sheet Metal work and welding is desirable but not essential
Experience in welding techniques (Arc, MIG, TIG, Gas, CO2), brazing
Capable of working with a wide range of material is desirable
An appreciation of normal manufacturing processes, their associated capabilities and limitations.
Energetic, flexible, and adaptable within a pressurised environment providing technical guidance to other business areas.

Working Hours:

Monday to Thursday (7:30 to 16:30), Friday (7:30 to 12:00)

Pay:
Permanent Contract offered in the region of £33,000 per annum + Bonus & Benefits
