Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with a Greater Manchester based housing association who are looking to appoint an Income Officer.

The role offers agile working on an initial temporary 4-month contract. The rate is £ £22.00 per hour dependingon experience.


Income Officer - Housing Association - About The Role:

  • Provide an effective, tenant focussed rent and other debt collection service using a variety of creative methods to support and engage tenants
  • Manage a caseload of accounts and work with tenants to maximise their income and manage their budgets more effectively
  • Where appropriate, initiate legal proceedings, which will include attendance at Court, and/or carrying out evictions
  • Responsible for scheduling and carrying out visits to tenants' homes
  • Liaise with the Housing Benefit Department, Department for Work and Pensions and make effective use of all information that is available to reduce debt and provide practical advice
  • Communicate effectively with the court/legal officer to ensure all required information regarding tenants is available to them, making sure that all information is accurate, up to date and reliable

Income Officer - Housing Association - What You Need:

  • Income Officer experience with knowledge of Universal Credit
  • Experience working directly for a housing association
  • UK Driving License and own vehicle (Desirable)
