Description

Do you have proven experience as a Purchasing Manager in a manufacturing environment? Are you confident in negotiation with suppliers?

A manufacturing business in Nottingham is on the lookout for a Purchasing Manager to join the business and take ownership of managing the Supply Chain team.

The business has a future-proof product with a strong order book, so you'll be joining them at agreat time in their growth.

Day to day you'll be responsible for:

Leading the purchasing activity including procurement and negotiating favourable terms with suppliers
Improve process to measure supply whilst monitoring weekly/monthly demand
Analyse supplier performance and striving for continuous improvement
Maintain strategic relationships with customers and suppliers

You'll need to have proven experience in developing procurement strategies, strong negotiation and influencing skills as well as being able to lead a small team.

Systems experience will also be important, with SAP being highly desirable.
