About the role

Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a
Surveyor to join our team to work in the Coventry area.

What you'll be doing Key Responsibilities**:

To ensure all monitoring networks are installed as per dept. guidelines
To ensure that all handovers upon completion of installation and project start are carried out if required
Carry out validation topographical surveys, ensuring high level of accuracy is achieved
Complete comparison of validation survey against ground level / topographical survey provided by client identify any differences and notify SS / SM
Report any deviances from survey to project/contracts manager
Implement and monitor all systems and procedures and ensure effective operation
Use of online / cloudbased data management systems / BIM
Ability to organise of all the monitoring data in the assigned area
Process of the monitoring data, production of graphical and tabular output, data presentation where required, and for coordinating the upand downloading of information to and from BBV's Database and data backup system
Configure newly installed instrumentation within the user interface
Check that all I&M data exported is shared correctly and ensure data quality and the identification of anomalous data takes place

Who we're looking for

Previous experience in the major infrastructure projects with a speciality in monitoring tunnels/ structures
Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility
Capable of processing your own data with a variety of processing software

To understand the importance of good communication between colleagues/team leaders/PM's

To lead teams to carry out installation of monitoring tasks under instruction and briefing by the Senior Surveyor or the Survey Manager
To liaise with your Senior Surveyor or Survey Manager if any issues encountered during briefing
To read and understand all methodologies of the project
To have good knowledge of monitoring survey techniques
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Word, Outlook and Excel
