Payroll Controller - Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom - Lucideon
Description
We are looking for a Payroll Controller to join our Finance team. Working Monday to Friday, you will be based in Stone.Benefits include:

Role Purpose
To deliver a full payroll service to Lucideon Group including related Pension and HMRC payments and statutory reporting. To provide accountancy support to the Finance Team and to the Management of the business as required.
Accountabilities
- Reporting into the Financial Controller
- Coordinate and complete monthly payroll for Lucideon Group UK staff to strict deadlines
- Update Payroll system settings as required to ensure correct tax treatment of all pay elements and deductions including Occupational Sick Pay
- Liaise with 3rd party payroll bureaus to ensure payroll processed for nonUK staff
- Point of contact for all payroll queries staff, audit, grant bodies etc
- Reconciliation for all payroll related control accounts incl Pension, PAYE, Healthcare etc
- Completion and circulation of annual P11ds electronically
- Statutory reporting and payments to HMRC; FPS, EPS, Apprentice Levy, P11d's, P46Car etc
- Payroll/Cost of Employment calculations for Mgmt Accounts, Grant claims, projects etc
- Administration of Company Pension deductions and payments on time
- Administration of Private Medical Insurance deductions and payments on time
- Administration of Group Life Assurance scheme
- Complete weekly Bank reconciliations for all Lucideon Group bank accounts including posting of Cashbook payments and receipts
- Completion of monthly journals for the Management Accounts
- Ensuring personal Accountancy and Payroll CPDs are up to date
Qualifications
- AAT or Payroll Equivalent
Experience
- 5+ years as a payroll controller/coordinator
Knowledge/Skills
- Payroll up to date knowledge of payroll legislation
- Microsoft Office proficient in Excel
- Select Pay payroll or similar experience
- Ability to think logically and solve problems effectively
- Calm Approach
- Excellent Time Management Skills
Salary:
£25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
Ability to commute/relocate:
- StokeonTrent, Staffordshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
