Due to continual growth within our business, we are looking to recruit an import/export planner to work along side our procurement team and international souring manager to help ensure all international products are dealt with correctly and efficiently.

The role

Deal with international suppliers on all imported goods.
Dealing with freight forwarders.
Collation of all shipping documents to ensure compliance.
Working with our international sourcing manager to keep import shipment schedule up to date.
Ensure all documents are filed under correct order.
Ensure freight forwarder has copies of paperwork required to clear goods.
Liaising with all depots on goods arrivals and delivery bookings.
Working closely with international sourcing manager on all import shipments
Receiving all import deliveries
Conducting goods on arrival load and unloading inspections.

What are we looking for;

A good knowledge of requirements for importing into the UK from the far east.
Understanding of UK customs
Understanding of UK Import/duty codes
An eye for detail
Organised
Strong communication skills
Able to work with a team but also on own initiative.
Willing to learn more about our business and the items we ship to and from the UK.
Able to move between HERMEQ sites when necessary.

Starting salary £28,000

Hours

Monday to Friday

8:00am - 5:00pm

International sourcing manager
