We are working with a highly respected Business Advisory firm, with offices throughout the UK, who are currently looking for a Restructuring Manager to join their Birmingham team.
The role will work across both restructuring and insolvency and will provide an opportunity to develop commercial skills across these areas.
There will also be an opportunity to get involved in marketing events, working with senior management helping them with their marketing and business development objectives.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Completing assignments, adhering to the firms' advisory procedures and statutory obligations, communicating arrangements, including costs and billing with the client, company or appointer
- Understanding the challenges currently being faced by the client and developing solutions with the Partner
- Working with other advisory staff on insolvency assignments, managing cases, including Company Voluntary Arrangements, Administrations, Creditors Voluntary Liquidations and Compulsory Liquidations and implementing solutions through insolvency procedures
- Consulting with Restructuring team on preappointment Creditors Voluntary Liquidation matters and dealing with preappointment matters on Administrations and Compulsory Liquidation insolvency appointments
- Attending meetings with clients and other Restructuring advisory staff
- Analysing and challenging information received from the client
- Implementing solutions which may involve sale of business tasks e.g. accelerated M&A process, drafting sale documentation/preparing details of interested parties, liaising with agents and debt restructuring
- Assisting with the trading of insolvent businesses
- Asset realisations including debt recovery
- Preparing reports for secured creditors
- Carrying out complex investigations, including SIP2 reviews and litigation work as required.
Skills Requirements:
- Ideally ACCA/ACA qualified with previous experience in a similar role
- CPI qualified would be an advantage
- Previous experience in Restructuring Advisory and/or Insolvency in a similar role
- Ability to take the lead with insolvency assignments and support advisory assignments, including pre
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good analytical and report writing skills proven experience of preparation of financial information and the ability to analyse the information
- Previous experience building and managing stakeholder relationships
- Committed to delivering high quality work within agreed timescales
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Able to travel to assignments across the UK as required
