The main purpose of this role is to provide financial and commercial insight to the operational leadership of SRUC in alignment with short term and strategic objectives.
Key areas of activity include:
- Being Finance Business Partner for the relevant division providing business insight, financial advice and analysis to operational management team and budget holders
- Leading the regular financial performance reporting process in response to business requirements ensuring that analysis and conclusions are easy to understand and can be relied on to inform decisionmaking
- Driving increased financial awareness and understanding throughout the operations
Scope of Job
In this role you will:
- Interpret and drive performance within the business
- Provide internal financial reporting, monthly results, quarterly forecasting, and annual budgeting.
- Advise and consult on the financial impact of operational decisions, provide expert insight including; informal or bespoke forecasting and scenario analysis
- Develop robust, effective, collaborative relationships with senior managers and their teams, guiding, empowering, informing, and challenging them in their thinking, inspiring them to act on the data provided.
- Create opportunities to increase revenue and improve margin.
- Team member finance professionals to deliver effective business partnering across the organisation, influencing financial and accounting staff involved in financial control activities.
- Assisting the presentation of reports for the F&E and A&R committees plus the SACC and main board papers.
