Head of Project Management

Hybrid 3 days on site in Bletchley, 2 days from home
15% travel Ireland/UK/Europe 85% Hybrid working (50/50 split of home and office in Bletchley)

Package:
- £65,000 - £85, % Annual Company Bonus + Company Car (EV & Hybrid options) + Pension (up to 11% combined), life assurance, Private Medical + other company benefits

All Travel and expenses reimbursed

The role:
You will directly manage a team of professional Project Managers that are responsible for the full project lifecycle. You will indirectly lead teams comprised of cross-functional resources for the development and implementation of your automation projects.

Manage a team of professional Project Managers team comprises of 6 Project Managers, 20% of your time will be the full management of the team and 80% is working hands on, on your own projects.
Develop & nurture core competencies of the project management team to ensure the right technical capabilities and knowhow are in place and sustained for the years to come.
Work closely with the Business Unit leaders and across functional teams to ensure alignment on portfolio for Projects.
Manage and drive contractors and external vendors
Responsible for Project delivery for your own projects including schedule, risk & budget management in line with project execution governance framework
Provide oversight and guidance to your team of project managers for projects executed
Key contributor/leader in project proposal development & strategy
Direct customer contact
Coordinating resources for all projects.
Key contributor/leader for Maintaining & Managing Project governance standards for the North Europe Life Science Team
Interact with internal PMO teams to review & improve project governance
Work closely with the team to develop professional skillset
Reporting projects progress to team leadership

Essential Experience:

Experience in a role leading a team of multiple Project Managers. I.e. a Project Director position, or Programme Management role. This position will be leading a team of Project Managers, so previous experience in a similar high level leadership role is essential
Any technology or engineering background can be considered so long as it is Pharma/life sciences sector experience; Pharmaceutical, Bio-Pharma, Life Sciences industry experience is essential
