Goodman Masson are delighted to be support a brilliant charity that aims to change negative attitudes about disability, provides direct services, and educates the public.


They are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their team for a minimum of 12 months to support the delivery of the organisations goals through the provision of accurate and timely financial information and analysis to departments.

This organisation offers very flexible working, with no minimum requirement to be in the office.

Key accountability's and responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy of the daily, weekly and monthly management information reports produced by the team
  • Own key areas of the management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely production
  • Assist with month and yearend processes ensuring requisite adjustments are in line with reporting requirements and balance sheet accounts are reconciled
  • Own the monthly reporting pack, maintaining accuracy and timely distribution
  • Hold regular meetings with key stakeholders as a forum for updates, queries and analysis development
  • Investigate issues raised by budget holders, liaise with appropriate teams and operational staff to resolve and correct as appropriate
  • Drive continuous efficiency and process improvement across the team and assist with systems improvement
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Manage the budget upload process, reconciling to source reports
  • Support the commercial finance managers and other finance analysts in delivering a variety of finance business partnering services which may include rolling forecasts, investment appraisal, ROI performance and financial modelling.
  • Update and maintain the reporting structure for the whole organisation when changes occur throughout the year
  • Provide training, support and advice on a range of financial systems and issues to budget holders and other colleagues
  • Provide cover for daily and weekly reporting where required
Person specification

  • Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant
  • Demonstrated accountancy and financial reporting experience including accounts production and presentation
  • Experience of Finance systems and effective IT skills, particularly across the Microsoft product suite
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues and provide practical support as part of the finance team
  • Understand and support the organisation's mission, culture and values (Pioneering, Courageous, Connected, Open, Fair)
  • Be able to demonstrate awareness diplomacy, sensitivity and empathy with the issues of disability, accessibility and independence
