Goodman Masson are delighted to be support a brilliant charity that aims to change negative attitudes about disability, provides direct services, and educates the public.
They are looking for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join their team for a minimum of 12 months to support the delivery of the organisations goals through the provision of accurate and timely financial information and analysis to departments.
Key accountability's and responsibilities
- Ensure the accuracy of the daily, weekly and monthly management information reports produced by the team
- Own key areas of the management accounts, ensuring accuracy and timely production
- Assist with month and yearend processes ensuring requisite adjustments are in line with reporting requirements and balance sheet accounts are reconciled
- Own the monthly reporting pack, maintaining accuracy and timely distribution
- Hold regular meetings with key stakeholders as a forum for updates, queries and analysis development
- Investigate issues raised by budget holders, liaise with appropriate teams and operational staff to resolve and correct as appropriate
- Drive continuous efficiency and process improvement across the team and assist with systems improvement
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process
- Manage the budget upload process, reconciling to source reports
- Support the commercial finance managers and other finance analysts in delivering a variety of finance business partnering services which may include rolling forecasts, investment appraisal, ROI performance and financial modelling.
- Update and maintain the reporting structure for the whole organisation when changes occur throughout the year
- Provide training, support and advice on a range of financial systems and issues to budget holders and other colleagues
- Provide cover for daily and weekly reporting where required
- Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience Accountant
- Demonstrated accountancy and financial reporting experience including accounts production and presentation
- Experience of Finance systems and effective IT skills, particularly across the Microsoft product suite
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders and colleagues and provide practical support as part of the finance team
- Understand and support the organisation's mission, culture and values (Pioneering, Courageous, Connected, Open, Fair)
- Be able to demonstrate awareness diplomacy, sensitivity and empathy with the issues of disability, accessibility and independence
