Job Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Lead to join our team at Agrial Fresh Produce Wigan. The main purpose of the role is to support the Transport Manager in the day-today activities of the department.

To achieve or exceed logistics performance KPIs across a balanced agenda whilst maintaining compliance to the relevant H&S and quality procedures and policies.

Working hours: 5 out of 7 days.

As well as the 3 factories we also have a farming operation - Agrial Fresh Farms. All UK sites operate under the name of Agrial Fresh Produce Limited and fall under Agrial's vegetable division.

Our Wigan site is a well-established business unit that processes and distributes pre-packed, ready to eat, fresh salad bags and bowls to some of the UK's well-known retailers and restaurants.

We are based on Martland Park Industrial Estate, which is ideal for travel on the M61, M6 and M62.


Main Responsibilities

  • Monitors and report on daily/weekly performance where required and provide detailed handovers.
  • To manage the capacity of the Despatch area.
  • Ensure Floris is always accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure all paperwork/documentation is completed correctly & signed off in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all used & unused products are documented to comply with all traceability & stock rotation requirement.
  • To ensure there is a drive continuous improvement & drive efficiencies in all areas.
  • Ensure deliveries/despatches to and from site are done in a timely manner in accordance with customer requirements.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Basic Food Hygiene
  • 3 years manufacturing experience within shortlife products
  • 1 year experience of supervising a team within Food Manufacturing
  • Experience of Quality & Technical procedures.
  • At least 1 years' experience of working from a primary producer within the salad sector.
