Buyer - Hillington

Permanent role - highly competitive salary based on experience


Newly created role for an experienced Buyer to join a highly successful & expanding construction based organisation in a highly varied role in the Hillington area.


In addition to day to day procurement activities, you will also play a key role in delivering cost and improvement initiatives continually focussing on more efficient and smarter ways of working.


You will liaise and negotiate with suppliers to secure the most favourable terms for the immediate and strategic long term business requirements.

To ensure through day to day planning and supervision that all materials, services and equipment is procured in line with quality expectations, at the most favourable cost and in compliance with Company procedures.


  • End to end procurement activities
  • Liaise with key internal stakeholders to prepare for finalisation of contracts for goods, services and materials in accordance with Company policy
  • All aspects of supplier management, supplier development and supplier negotiation strong knowledge and experience in the preparation and execution of supplier negotiations.
  • Researching new markets, products, and manufacturing processes
  • Negotiating with suppliers to agree prices, quantities, delivery schedules and exclusivity deals
  • Promote best practice Procurement Policies and Procedures to stakeholders throughout the business
  • Grow and deliver sourcing strategies that will maximise the value of procured services and products.
  • A track record as a Buyer within a fastmoving construction related / manufacturing environment a construction background is beneficial
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Relationship building and management skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.

Job Types:

Salary:
£35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
