Are you an experienced Dispenser seeking new challenges in Hospital Pharmacy or a Pharmacy Assistant who has completed NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent?
We are seeking a flexible, conscientious, reliable and motivated individual with a positive attitude to join our pharmacy team.
Based in the Dispensary at The Countess of Chester Hospital you will work in the delivery of an efficient pharmacy service to all service users.
Duties will include reception cover, ordering and receipt of pharmaceutical orders, pre-packing and over-labelling of medication, replenishing and overseeing the supply of cardiac arrest boxes, storage and disposal of patients own medication, ward returns and participation in the dispensing rota.
The successful post holder will be a valued member of the Pharmacy Team, it is therefore essential that you have excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

To perform technical duties of dispensing, issuing, distribution, and stock-control maintenance of pharmaceutical preparations and undertake related administrative duties maintaining accurate records complying with legal requirements and Trust policies.
To receive, unpack and check all orders received into the dispensary from pharmacy stores and wholesalers ensure they are stored correctly following the principles of Good Distribution Practice.
To participate in the Pharmacy stock-control programme investigating discrepancies, maintaining and rotating stock and ensuring waste is kept to a minimum.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust consists of a 600 bedded large District General Hospital, which provides its services on the Countess of Chester Health Park, and a 64 bedded Intermediate Care Service at Ellesmere Port Hospital.
The Trust provides services in all of the surgical and medical specialties common to a District General Hospital with some specialist services.
