Acorn Technology is currently working with a global organisation, to find a talented and experienced Test Manager.Our client offers a leading digital platform for services and payments, as the everyday companion for people at work, connecting over 50million users and 2 million partners in 46 countries.
The Test Manager will be part of growing technology team and be a part of an exciting journey to transform the way our engineering teams work, being a critical part of rearchitecting our platforms to a microservices architecture, helping and allowing variousteams to deliver quicker and more regular solutions.
A key deliverable to this role is a comprehensive set of environments, that are planned, managed, and maintained to give teams the correct environments with the correct components, when required.
You will be heavily involved in the core planning, co-ordination,and maintenance of these environments, working closely with delivery teams and business stakeholders, contributing to the overall engineering strategy and driving improvements.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Technical creation, planning, and usage of environments
- Track and report on all individual components, ensuring all environments are valid and updated
- Align Agile deliveries with change control processes
- Helping to define best practice and adhering to standards
- Identify gaps and drive and deliver improvements to the environment management process
- Coaching others, and working as a team to ensure delivery is on time and of high quality
- Contributing to the overall engineering strategy and identifying areas of improvement
Skills & Experience:
- Commerical experience of environments management either onpremise or cloudbased solutions
- Experience of building and maintaining several environments simultaneously
- Commercial exposure to DevOps practices and principals
- The use and understanding of build or environment management tools and databases
- A strong influencer, articulate and able to challenge on best practices and coach on ideas
