Leading Components Manufacturer has a new opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector Aerospace.About the role:
Our client is looking foran Aerospace Inspector to join our Inspection team.
You will have experience of working in a hands-on inspection environment and knowledge/use of basic inspection equipment, gauges & Inspection processes.
As part of the inspection team you will inspect a large diverse variety of parts manufactured at the site, responsible for ensuring the quality and conformity of the products delivered to our customers.
You will also participate in other activities related to quality control and work with other internal functions to continuously identify inspection improvements and efficiency savings.
Duties may include:
- Inspection of parts (Work in Progress / Final product), and associated paperwork against the applicable requirements and drawing configuration at the relevant stages in the manufacturing process.
- Use of conventional inspection methods in accordance with the inspection plans.
- Carry out inline process and product inspections throughout the factory
- Raise nonconformances reports in accordance with the quality system
- Support in problem solving activities within the company's continuous improvement program
- Actively participate in safety improvement activities
- Perform all reasonable requests made by management
Skills and experience:
- Ability to interpret technical documentation (drawings, specifications and procedures)
- Experience in using standard measuring equipment (i.e. vernier calipers, micrometre, height gauges, radius gauges etc.)
- Working knowledge/experience of engineering drawings and the use of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. (GT & D.)
- Must be able to communicate in English effectively (written & verbal)
- Able to work as part of a team and under own initiative.
- Flexible in working hours to support business needs when required.
- Good computer literacy
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Must have the right to live and work in the UK
- A working knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100
