Job Title:
Operations Officer (with Basic Accounting Skills)
Job Summary:
The Operations Officer will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the gallery, with a focus on basic accounting and financial management.
This role will involve working closely with other members of the gallery team to ensure the gallery is operating effectively and efficiently.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage the gallery's basic accounting tasks, including invoicing, payment collection, and tracking expenses.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including tracking sales and expenses in a spreadsheet or accounting software.
- Prepare basic financial reports, including income statements and cash flow statements, and provide updates to senior management.
- Work with the gallery team to manage inventory of supplies, including office stationery, promotional materials, and exhibition equipment.
- Assist in the planning and execution of gallery events, including openings and exhibitions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Previous experience in basic accounting, financial management, or operations, preferably within the arts sector.
- Fluent in both English and Chinese.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in both English and
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with spreadsheet software, such as
- A detailoriented, takeownership approach, selforganization, and the ability to
- Demonstrated familiarity with and interest in contemporary art and the gallery's program.
Salary:
£25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
Supplemental pay types:
- Yearly bonus
Ability to commute/relocate:
- London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
