Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our clients team on a 3 month temporary contract.

The successful will be to assist the Financial Controller to ensure the companies accounts and accounting systems are correctly managed, posted, reconciled, submitted and generally held in a correct, accurate and on time position at all times.

Key administrator for Purchase Ledger; raising and matching purchase orders, seeking authorisation and payments in different currencies.


Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Purchase Ledger
- process supplier invoices quickly and efficiently
- posting to Sage
- flagging/ chasing up/ resolution of queries
- reconciling statements

  • Sales Ledger as above
- post invoices for hire, storage and other Sundry Income on Sage

  • Sales Receipts posted and payments made
  • Support group credit control function to manage and recover debt
  • Reconcile PODIO sales tracker to Sage weekly
  • Purchase Payment setting up payments run(s) in UK and abroad using GBP and foreign currencies
  • Bank Reconciliation weekly
  • Raise Purchase Orders for the business
  • Matching supplier invoices to delivery notes and PO's
  • Correct and up to date files and information within Sage and other filing systems
  • Process Corporate Credit cards and personal expense claims.
  • Adhoc Bank payments
  • Maintain and comply with accounting controls environment
  • Undertake any other tasks that may reasonably be required in accordance with the duties and the responsibilities of the assist with key tasks from other roles as requested to cover for holidays or absence as part of the admin team.
Minimum criteria

  • 2 3 years' experience in bookkeeping and accounting systems (SAGE Line 200 ideally)

Ideal Requirement:

  • Business acumen and judgment broad experience across other accounting environments
  • Evidence of effective problem solving Bookkeeping or Accountancy qualification

Salary:
£25,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
