Junior Data Engineer


Salary:
£33,000 per annum


Do you have experience as a data engineer and have an interest in the tech industry? Our client works with tech scale ups to assist their growth and is seeking a Junior Data Engineer to support the R&D team with research for government and corporate clients.

As a Junior Data Engineer you will be working on development of a number of data pipelines to collate disparate data sources into a single source of truth data warehouse to assist with automating data processing.


Junior Data Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Build reliable tested and documented python packages
  • Use python to call APIs, clean and flatten the data
  • Deploy these python packages to our existing scheduling and infrastructure orchestration system
  • Understand how to land data in Data Lake so that it is loading into staging of our Data Warehouse
  • Use dbt to model, validate and document data into Facts and Dimensions
  • Build data visualisation dashboards to meet stakeholder needs
  • Work with various stakeholders to understand that data they use, where they collect it from and how we can automate their workflow

Junior Data Engineer Essentials:

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in data engineering
  • Knowledge of systems including Python, SQL, AWS, and Docker
  • An independent learner, who is curious, detail orientated, and a problem solver
