Description

The MDTC role is pivotal in ensuring timely patient progression through diagnostic and treatment pathways, both to ensure a good patient experience as well as ensuring our Trust continues to attain a high performance against National Cancer Waiting Times standards.

Experience working within the NHS, preferably within a cancer data environment is desirable along with knowledge of current cancer pathways and MDT processes.

You will be required to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service and applicants must be able to travel to other hospital sites as and when required.

The ability to type in real time during a Cancer MDT is essential.
A

  • PTL management to ensure each patient has a complete tracking recor
  • Data entry and recording for Cancer Waiting Times upload and Audits. Creation and Validation of CWT treatment entries on Somerset cancer system as well as completion of stage, grade and performance status
  • MDT Management including MDT preparation for local or Network meetings and distribution of MDT outcomes to relevant team members and referring Trusts
  • Attendance at Cancer MDTs and real time typing of MDT outcomes in the meeting.
