Description

An exciting opportunity is available for a senior, experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Clinical Scientist to join our friendly and expanding team.

The Medical Physics Department is based at Poole Hospital, providing services throughout Dorset. The department comprises 3 sections; Ionising Radiation Physics, Non-ionising Radiations Physics (NIR) and Clinical Measurement. These teams of Clinical Scientists & Clinical Technologists support clinical services across 2 NHS Trusts.


The successful applicant will work with a high degree of autonomy to lead and develop the NIR Section, and to deliver NIR physics services to East Dorset Hospitals.

NIR modalities supported currently include; 8 state-of-the-art MRI, ultrasound imaging, lasers, UV & blue light phototherapy and other EMF sources.

The post holder will also manage the provision of audiology support services across Dorset. Opportunities for collaboration & research through the links with Bournemouth University also exist.
