£50,702 to £56,336 per annum (dependent on experience)

We have a new opportunity for a skilled and experienced Contract Management and/ or Commercial professional to join our Estates Services Function.
The role will be focused on Estates and Construction and will provide expert input to Estates Services, definingand implementing a procurement strategy working with our UKRI Commercial Business Partner, as well as operational contract management and supporting the team with Supplier management.
This role will have a focus on Estates Services (including Facilities Management and Construction) who are currently responsible for around £100m per annum of capital resource and spend.
You will be the lead regarding Estates internal commercial and procurement matters, working closely with UKRI Commercial (Procurement) and our shared service centre, ensure governance and compliance in contract management, procurement and corporateobjectives.
You will lead the commercial relationship for our construction and facilities management contracts and ensure they remain aligned with the financial and delivery plans.
You will be required to review our processes to identify areas for continuous improvement and identify benchmark opportunities within contracts through innovation and collaboration with our contractors and the wider industry
The following criteria will be assessed at Shortlisting:
- Substantial customer focussed practical experience in the delivery of complex and high value procurement in the public/private sector.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of commercial procurement activities in accordance with Public Contracts Regulations.
- Construction and FM market insight.
- Ability to provide leadership and guidance to our operational teams/supply chain.
- Familiarisation with and previous experience of working and ideally developing/managing Estates Procurement Frameworks
- Commercial Focus
- Expertise in NEC contracts and developing successful approaches to formatting contract terms and KPI criteria.
