We are working exclusively with Frostkrone UK Food Group in the search for a newly formed position of UK Head of Technical, which will lead the technical function for two companies within their group.

Covering 3 sites under your remit, you will be based in the picturesque Blaenavon in South Wales, ensuring all products are manufactured to standards that meet specifications while also working on business strategies and projects.

As a Senior leader within the business, you will be a key stakeholder in advancing the companies broader objectives and growth.

With sites across the globe, Frostkrone UK consists of several highly innovative businesses including Abergavenny Fine Foods and Innovate Foods, both of which are under your remit.

As a market leader in chilled and frozen party snack foods, manufacturing favourites such as mozzarella dippers and arancini balls, they set the standard for others to follow.

They are going through exciting growth with significant volume lined up for next year, which will continue to see your responsibility grow.


The experience you will need will be:

  • A background in food manufacturing and worked with frozen or chilled products
  • Have a demonstrable background in senior Technical positions
  • Have fantastic private label knowledge, ideally working with multiple retailers
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead numerous projects and work streams at the same time
  • Level 3 HACCP trained
Some of the key responsibilities of the Head of Technical:

  • Coordinate all technical and quality activities to ensure that products are manufactured against agreed specifications
  • Lead the site Technical and Quality managers and wider technical teams at the sites
  • Drive site preparation and carry out internal audits for the sites and maintaining overall internal audit schedule
  • Lead all retail and third party audits
  • Maintain overall responsibility for the HACCP plan and Allergen risk assessment for the sites
  • Ensure strong working relationships are established with all retailers
